ANTHONY DEFICIENTE (Duh-fish-ee-en'-tay) GRANDMA's virgin grandson and primary
care giver. An overweight, success challenged, gay man. (late 30's)

​'CHEKHOV's REVENGE' by Roy Proctor

SUMMARY: 
A dark one-act radio play based on the short stories off Anton Chechov that captures the flavor of Chekhov without all the mess. 



PLAYWRIGHT BIO:
Roy Proctor wrote his first play in 2012 after retiring from a 
30-year career as the staff theater critic on the two daily 
newspapers in Richmond, Va. Since then, he has completed 89 short plays that have been fully produced, accorded staged readings and/or produced as podcasts more than 200 times in 23 American states and in 10 countries on four continents. His plays have been produced on the stage in an arc extending from Los Angeles to Chicago, New York, London, Stuttgart. Bangalore, Misawa (Japan) and Sydney. Proctor writes all kind of plays, but specializes in short-play adaptations of classic short stories in the public domain, especially stories by Anton Chekhov. He lives in Richmond and is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

​'PSYCHO SANTA?' by Vivian C. Lermond

SUMMARY: 
​Delusion and illusion hit a Christmas Eve cross-current, and Santa must face off with his conflicted reality.

PLAYWRIGHT BIO:
Vivian is an award-winning playwright who has penned 60 one-act plays and monologues that have entertained audiences in the US, Mexico, England, Scotland and Australia. Her full-length drama/comedy, Back to Bethlehem (PA), premiered Off-Broadway in 2006 at the Manhattan Theatre Club. In addition to her stage plays,Vivian has also written two full length screenplays that were awarded first place in two highly competitive screenwriting contests.
She has taught playwriting at a local college and has facilitated playwriting workshops at writing conferences. Vivian currently lends her talents to Gallagher Literary, an LA talent management company, where she evaluates pitches and screenplay submissions. She also freelances for afilmwriter.com, where she is a script analysis specialist for stage plays. Vivian has been a proud member of The Dramatists Guild since 1998.

SUMMARY: 
If the trains run on-time, well, most of the time, why would the world's busiest subway system need a stay-at-home spouse to reassure would-be passengers that one is coming along any minute now? Is there something in her own life that seems to be stuck in-transit? Is it perhaps too late for this empty housewife to get her relationship back on track? 

PLAYWRIGHT BIO:
​William Ivor Fowkes is a playwright and author based in New York and Connecticut. He has been a FINALIST for the Reva Shiner Comedy Award and the W.Keith Hedrick Playwriting Contest and a SEMIFINALIST for the Playwrights First Award, the Promising Playwright Award, and the Princess Grace Playwriting Award. The latest installments from the portfolio of 'The Misadventures of Sherlock Holmes' comedies, three of which were first recorded live-on-stage December, 2017 during the Petaluma Radio Players 'Holmes for the Holidays' radio theatre show at Hotel Petaluma.

PLAYWRIGHT BIO:
U.K. playwright, Vince Stadon, has graced the airways of the Petaluma Radio Players live-on-stage and recorded broadcasts since December 2017. His collection of comedies have been performed on stage at cities throughout the world. Most recently, Petaluma, California and somewhere in Mississippi.


'THE MISADVENTURE OF THE MALEVOLENT MATHEMATICIAN' 

SUMMARY (in Doctor John Watson's own words):
Summer; 1895. Following the events of 'The Substitute Secretary', Lord Salisbury regains office of Prime Minister; H.G. Wells publishes "The Time Machine"; The Lumiere brothers hold public film exhibitions in London and Paris; Rontgen discovers X-rays; Gillette invents the safety razor; the Sino-Japanese War breaks out...and Mr. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John H. Watson have lodged together, as friends and companions, for eleven years. Eleven long years. Tempers are beginning to fray.

There's more life in Gladys than her workaholic daughter notices. Destined to end her days in a retirement home, Gladys is not looking forward to her return to America after a cruise to England aboard The Waning Moon. But two elderly Brits aboard propose an alternative.

('Psycho Santa' is fully cast.) As many actors from the Company will be reprising 
their roles, quite a few of the characters in 'The Misadventure of the Malevolent Mathematician' and a few of the characters in 'The Misadventure of the Devil's Whisper' have been cast. However, there are still many roles to be cast. So we encourage you to turn out and audition. These are very high quality scripts that 
are over-the-top funny! And we play to three nights of S.R.O. audiences every year.
